Residential FAQs, answered

Residential park living FAQs

Aside from initial appearance, there is very little difference. Our residential park homes are designed for comfortable, year-round living, with modern interiors, practical layouts and all the comforts you’d expect from a home of your own.  For those looking to make a lifestyle change, a residential park home offers the comfort and independence of a traditional home, with the benefits of easy, single-storey living in a welcoming community. Selling your current property and moving to a park home can be an opportunity to simplify day-to-day life, enjoy a more manageable home and embrace a relaxed new chapter.

Our residential parks are for semi-retired and retired residents over the age of 50, who can enjoy a quality lifestyle in beautiful, peaceful surroundings among like-minded neighbours.

Purchase costs usually compare very favourably, varying with the home chosen. Buying a park home can also be a great way to release capital tied up in a conventional house.

Yes. Our parks are private, with minimal traffic and a quiet, peaceful environment. Indefinite security of tenure is provided in accordance with the Mobile Homes Act, with full written details, including a Written Statement, provided before purchase.

The Written Statement is the agreement between the homeowner and the park, setting out the rights and responsibilities of each party. Many of its terms are set by law, including the rules for the annual review of pitch fees, with a tribunal service available in England and Wales in the event of a dispute.

For an older home, or if you have any concerns about a home’s condition, a survey can give reassurance before you proceed. For newer homes, ask the seller about any warranties that apply.
